Yesterday was our ONE YEAR anniversary of being here in Mérida to serve in the Mérida México Temple. We have received countless blessings and are very grateful for the privilege of being able to contribute in a small way to the work of the Kingdom at the present and throughout our life together.
The day passed quite uneventfully - Elena sent us a message of congratulations; we congratulated Pres. and Sis. Oropeza and we all went about the work we love and have learned to do over the past 12 months.
Gerhard accompanied Pres. Cejín in order write in English on some packages being mailed to Salt Lake signalling completion of projects that many crews have done the past three weeks under Gerhard's supervision .
Pres. Oropeza worked on bringing the registrar's files up-to-date while Pres. Cetina's men were re-touching the Temple wallpaper.
Sis. Smith and I finished cleaning the flowers in the Celestial Room and washing workmen's white clothing as the woman's touch to the cleaning and maintenance .
Sis. Oropeza and Cristina, their daughter, came to do some ordinances that needed to be done to complete the records and then stayed to do some more since the daughter lives in Puebla and can rarely go to the Mexico City Temple.
A sister who is learning the ordinances was given training by Sister Verlinden.
Gerhard and Bro. Smith picked up Pres. and Sis. Dyer from the airport, so we are all ready to go back to work beginning Tuesday morning.
