Pres. and Sis. Dyer set up a screen and projector in their living room on Saturday, so the Schills and the Smiths, the Mortensons, and the Verlindens, were up close and about as personal as anyone could be. Even those in the Conference Center would have had a hard time beating our view.
Between sessions the Oropezas, Sis. Soto and Sis. Sánchez came in from watching the morning session at the Stake Center, and we ate together. Pres. Dyer suffered most because he was grilling the hamburgers, but when we all chip in and bring something it makes a very good meal.
The announcement of 5 new temples to be constructed--making 151--is exciting, and we enjoyed hearing from some of the newer members of the quorum of the Twelve Apostles, the Seventy and the auxiliary organizations who also represent different cultures. We noticed several different ethnicities in the choirs, which is one of the signs of the times of the growth of the world-wide church and the diversity of members in the United States.

We came to the Conference seeking guidance for ourselves and family members, and we felt that the speakers addressed vital issues. We pray that we may make correct choices, that we may have more "celestial" homes, and that our hearts may be softened as we live the Gospel.
