These are our latest pictures. We wanted to have new pictures to send to Kassidi for her 10th birthday on June 10, 2010, so had these taken just as we were going into the temple for our morning shift.

Later that day, we celebrated the 2nd birthday of Daniela Patron Chavez, daughter of the previous bishop of Centro Ward, Efraín Patrón and Reina who manages the Distribution Center by the apartments. Dani was a newborn when we came to Mérida, so we have watched her grow, learn to walk and now to talk.
Dani and her mommy waiting for the chocolate birthday cake.

Dani's abuelo who comes to the Center each day to tend her. Hermano Patrón is so patient as she toddles around the grounds at the temple to look at the flowers, the butterflies, the birds and visits with the gardeners.
Dani couldn't wait to see what was inside the bag that we brought.

Of course she wanted to show off her new hat. She was wearing her pretty white dress and the orthopedic shoes that will help her not walk pigeon-toed.

This is the "neighborhood" of the missionary sisters, the crew from the Employment Center (located next to the Distribution Center), the Richards and us.

We were lucky to have some of Gerhard's homemade ice cream in the freezer, so we had a real birthday party!
